Our Home Ignition Zone Evaluation program provides residents with a custom report highlighting some of the positive attributes and vulnerabilities to wildfire around their home. Once you’ve submitted your request, we’ll reach out (typically within a few days) to schedule your one-on-one site visit.

Our hope is that we can offer this program free to all residents of Routt County. In order to do that, we request a small donation of at least $40 to help us with some of the program expenses that our grant funding is too restrictive to cover.

After you’ve submitted your request, someone will be in touch within a few days to schedule your evaluation. We’ll make every effort to work around your schedule whenever possible, as it’s important that you’re available to participate in the evaluation in person.

It’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with the Colorado State Forest Service’s Home Ignition Zone Guide before your evaluation. Having an understanding of the concepts, vulnerabilities and terminology will ensure that your evaluation is done as quickly and efficiently as possible.
