This special event will honor the city’s commitment to a thriving urban forest and provide opportunities for residents to learn more about tree care, wildfire mitigation, and the vital role trees play in our community.

Highlights of the Arbor Day celebration include:

• Official Arbor Day Proclamation
• Ceremonial Tree Planting in West Lincoln Park
• Urban Forestry Resources & Education from community partners
• Interactive Demonstrations such as tree climbing and bucket truck activities (pending availability)
• Tree Plantings Around the West Lincoln Playground

Accepted materials
• Include leaves, small trees, tree branches, small diameter logs and brush (cut away from root mass)

Restrictions
• No logs or branches with a diameter greater than 4 inches
• No roots, root wads, stumps or anything else that grows below the soil
• No materials that contain dirt, sand, gravel or rocks
• No construction, building or other man-made materials
• No lumber, fence posts or signs
• No materials that contain any metal (nails, screws, fencing), string or other man-made materials

Fall Fest is FREE and for ALL AGES- families welcome! No RSVP is needed; just show up! This will be weather-dependent.

Activity Highlights: Free pumpkin patch, interactive crafts and games, giveaways, bingo scavenger hunt with prizes, and way more!

There will be free parking in the area, though it will likely fill up fast! People are encouraged to ride a bike or take the free city bus straight to Gondola Times Square.

Please leave furry friends at home unless they are service animals.
