This 4-hour training (+30 minute lunch) provides real estate professionals with essential knowledge and skills to address wildfire risk in property transactions. Participants will learn the basics of wildfire behavior, how homes ignite, and effective mitigation strategies that reduce risk to life and property. The course highlights how wildfire risk influences property disclosure, insurance availability, and long-term value. Realtors will gain practical tools for communicating with clients about wildfire hazards and how to connect them to trusted local mitigation programs and Colorado-tailored resources. This course is designed to support realtors in any wildfire-prone community who want to be proactive, informed, and solutions-oriented.

CAA’s Regional Ag Resource Gatherings are coming to West Routt – making it easier than ever to connect directly with the agencies and organizations that support local agricultural operations.
Join us for dinner at the Historic Hayden Granary and hear timely updates from the Routt County Conservation District and the Routt County Wildfire Mitigation Council. Representatives from Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Colorado State University Extension, The Health Partnership, Friends of the Yampa, Western Resilience Center, Farm Service Agency (FSA), United States Forest Service (USFS), Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS), Rocky Mountain Farmers Union (RMFU), and Colorado Farm Bureau will also be in attendance.
Whether you have questions about conservation programs, wildfire mitigation, water, forest health, funding opportunities, or producer services, this is your opportunity to connect face-to-face with the people and programs working in Routt County.

A two-day conference titled Soil, Fire, and Water: A Holistic Investigation of Watershed Health for Working Lands
(May 28th will be particularly engaging for those interested in fire and its impacts to watersheds and working lands).
- Where: Allbright Family Auditorium, Colorado Mountain College
- Why: To bring together local community members, academic researchers, and regional experts for two days of exploration, discussion, and field learning focusing on how attendees can work together to build resilience in the face of the Western climate and water crisis.
