CAA’s Regional Ag Resource Gatherings are coming to West Routt – making it easier than ever to connect directly with the agencies and organizations that support local agricultural operations.

Join us for dinner at the Historic Hayden Granary and hear timely updates from the Routt County Conservation District and the Routt County Wildfire Mitigation Council. Representatives from Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Colorado State University Extension, The Health Partnership, Friends of the Yampa, Western Resilience Center, Farm Service Agency (FSA), United States Forest Service (USFS), Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS), Rocky Mountain Farmers Union (RMFU), and Colorado Farm Bureau will also be in attendance.

Whether you have questions about conservation programs, wildfire mitigation, water, forest health, funding opportunities, or producer services, this is your opportunity to connect face-to-face with the people and programs working in Routt County.

Over dinner, learn about current programs, funding opportunities, and technical assistance available to support your operation. These gatherings are practical, locally focused, and built to strengthen collaboration across South Routt’s agricultural community.

Join us for breakfast at the Tavern at the Glen and hear updates from the Routt County Conservation District and the Routt County Wildfire Mitigation Council. Agency partners – including CPW, NRCS, CSU Extension, The Health Partnership, Friends of the Yampa, Western Resilience Center, FSA, USFS, CSFS, Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, and Colorado Farm Bureau – will be on hand to answer questions and share current opportunities.

This gathering is structured to be efficient, informative, and accessible – giving North Routt producers direct access to the programs, partnerships, and resources that help sustain working lands and agricultural livelihoods.

Annually, the Council hosts two stakeholder meetings geared towards local fire and forest professionals to co-share and collaborate on the latest in mitigation policy, projects, and programs impacting Routt County. The theme of this spring’s conference is policy, considering the Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code is taking effect statewide in summer 2026. 

Steamboat Springs – Free, open to the public

A two-day conference titled Soil, Fire, and Water: A Holistic Investigation of Watershed Health for Working Lands 

(May 28th will be particularly engaging for those interested in fire and its impacts to watersheds and working lands).

1. Where: Allbright Family Auditorium, Colorado Mountain College
2. Why: To bring together local community members, academic researchers, and regional experts for two days of exploration, discussion, and field learning focusing on how attendees can work together to build resilience in the face of the Western climate and water crisis. 
3. How: The Rendezvous will include morning talks by expert panelists and practitioners, lunch, afternoon field learning, and an evening community showcase and happy hour event.
